WTS: Old DIY MATX system - Target for cheap NAS :-)

Bought this last time to host my files as a files server (Using windows XP) but now I'm using NAS therefore not using this anymore. Been serving me for more than 3 yrs if I'm wrong and still kicking! Condition a bit dusty and rusty on the front USB ports as well as rear panel but everything is still in working fine.

Good for those who wants to try to built a DIY NAS eg FreeNAS but never try to install it. Not an expert with linux OS. Anyway I preferred Off-The-Shelves NAS :-)

Here's the specs:

1) Asus P5KPL-AM SE MicroATX motherboard onboard graphics ( Motherboard - P5KPL-AM SE - ASUS )

2) Intel Celeron 430 @ 1.8Ghz

3) 2 x 1Gb Micron DDR2 Rams (tested with memtest86 passed)

4) 1 x Seagate 500Gb HDD

5) 1 x Seagate 1TB HDD

6) 1 x PCI express 1x 2 ports SATA 2 board (SATA cables included)

7) 480watts Andyson G480 PSU

8) 120mm Coolermaster Casing Fan with red LED lights

9) MicroATX Black Casing with side windows (Note that the Casing temperature monitoring is not working anymore)

10) 1 x Power Cord (UK Plug)

I have installed a 30 days trial downloaded legal version of Windows 7 Ultimate just to test the system compatibility and it detects all the device and drivers accordingly without the need to manually download device drivers. Surprisingly with this specs can still run Windows 7 Ultimate!

Note that no warranty for all items anymore and rest assure that I have fully tested them for a week now with no errors.

BNP: $150
